God Talk is the discussion of all forms and traditions of higher consciousness and spirituality. It is easier to say what is not included in “God Talk” then to list everything that is. No matter what religion, spiritual bent or understanding of some form of greater or universal power exists within us and throughout the world I include it all. Simply put, “God Talk” is about the greater ALL. To leave out any possibility definition of that ALL would only diminish the beauty and endless diversity that our global society has created around what I will now call “God”.
Throughout my life I have been researching as many different forms and names that we humans have given to “God”. I believe that we have an internal need to have some form of relationship with a greater power no matter what form or name we might give to it. Since we humans express this greater power within our vast universe in such diverse ways it is quite difficult to have open discussions with the diversity of our planet and not offend some along the way. In order to overcome this huge problem I found a way within my own self to make the necessary translations from one god talk to another. As a Buddhist talks Buddhism talk and a Christian talks Christianity or a Muslim talks Mohammad, my mind instantly translates to me in the language that I understand allowing me to absorb and expand my personal relationship with “God”.
It is my goal is that throughout this blog, attention is given to as many different ideas of “God” as we humans can conjure up. It is my hope that as I express “God” through my diverse and eclectic understanding of the universe that you are able to make the necessary internal translations and not get caught up in the word or words that I may use at any given time to express “God”. Through out the life of this blog you will find that I will use many different names and forms as I express “God”, “Goddess”, “The Universe”, “Source”, “Allah”, “Spirit”, “The Divine”, etc…
