A New Day for America

This morning is a great day for all Americans. I am sitting here watching the coverage of the inauguration event for President Obama.

For the first time in my life of 45 years I am excited and full of hope for the future of our country. I wanted to take the time today to express what this day and Obama as President means to me.

I voted for Obama originally as a vote for hope. I have seen the faces of Americans all over our country fallen with sadness and a complete lack of hope for their lives and or future. Since Obama was elected the overall vibration of our great nation has lifted and enlightened. I do not believe that this one man is any different then any other, but what has happened to this country since his election has blown me away.

Hope! Not that Obama will change the world on his own but that we the people now have an ear in our government that will listen to the people. He already has been listening to us. This has encouraged the American people to get and stay involved in the processes and policy making of our country. More then anything else, this country needs a sense of hope.

When I hear him speak I feel uplifted. He makes me want to stand up and go “YEA!”. To go out on a limb here some times I refer to him as “The Prophet, Obama”. His words appeal to my heart like the words of a priest. I see his eyes and see a man that I feel that I can trust. Obama also grew up in a household that encouraged him to have an enlightened view as to Spirit and God. This allows him to have a more illuminated world view then his predecessor. Our new President was born of a mixed race marriage, his parents divorced when he was two years old and was raised mostly by his grandmother who, as many of her generation, was quite racist even in front of the young Barack. Something that our household finds very important, he is also of our generation; 47 years old and like all great leaders should be, he is a Leo.

So, enough of the man, what about the people? I hope that “We The People” have the courage to stand up for our rights as Americans and participate in our government. One man can not do the job of President all on his own. He needs our help. It is our responsibility to participate in our government. Our fore fathers declared it so. I challenge all Americans to invoke the power of our Constitution and participate in a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

This is a good day for us all!!!

I cry in joyous celebration.

Blessed Be.
